Windows XP from usb boot error ?
A desperate try to install windows xp 32bit, in a USB pen and bypass the boot error.
After put my Pentium 4 with 2MBs up and running i decided to install Windows XP on the machine.
Yeahhh...glory days! But when trying to install it with a USB pen drive i face a error (see above image).
Well..i tried a lot of options like formating as FAT32, NTFS, flash the ISO, Copy the content of the ISo, using diskpart, multiple google advices....and nothing.
After a long day i discovered in a google search the only option that works (for me), simple as:
1) Just download easyboot (XP version) in Here. (main site is https://www.easy2boot.com/)
2) After installing just run Make_E2B.exe as administrator; (click right mouse over file and choose Run as administrator);
3) You need an Windows XP Iso File;
3) Just plug the PEN that you want to use to install Windows XP on the machine;
4) Click on the "Make E2B Drive" and follow the instrutions that will appear on the following screens;
5) When concluded, just unplug and plug again your USB PEN;
6) Open Windows Explorer, and find a folder on your pen called _ISOS
7) Copy your ISO File to the folder named with the version of windows that you want to install (in my case was winxp)
8) Unplug and you are ready to go (you now can boot this pen in the machine that you want to install winxp)
The installation process is very simple, but you can always check the www.easy2boot.com for more information.
