C64 TapeCart - sdcard

The C64 TapeCart with an Sd Card.

This is a beautiful hardware ad don for your Commodore C64. I bought on the ebay just for 20€.

This Tapecart connects into your C64 on the back panel tape port in a easy way.

This device only reads PRG files that you can easy find on the internet. After get some from the internet, you have to copy them to an sdcard (in my case i have formatted the card with fat32 in windows).

Apart from copy your files to the sdcard, you also have to download a file called browser.prg that you can find here, otherwise your C64 wont list the games.

This file is like a interface that you can easily choose what you want to run.

After copy all the needed files, just plug the device to your C64 and power ON!

with the C64 blue screen just press the "shift-Run/Stop" and after a few seconds the interface appears. Just choose the file that you want to run and That's it!

The only disadvantage of this decide (in the version that is being reviewed), is the access to the slot where the card is placed. To insert the card is easy, but to remove it requires little fingers and it's not easy.

In general I am very happy with this device, being a good alternative to the purchase of the traditional cassette player that is currently on ebay.com at very high prices and sometimes in poor conditions.
